This chant is composed using four of the twenty-three formal mantras of invocation in Adidam. Each of these mantras may also be used independently in sacramental worship and devotional chanting, and may be intoned repetitively as a complete practice in itself. Because mantras are traditionally chanted within a single breath, the tempo of this chant should be guided by the breath capacity required for the first line (8 bars). As the breath naturally deepens and becomes more regulated through repetition, sustaining the extended tone in bars 7 and 8 will gradually become more easeful and meditative. The four mantras used in this composition are: “Om Sri Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Love-Ananda Hridayam” “Om Da Om” “Om Ma Da” “Om Sri Da”
