The Divine Mahasamadhi
In the early evening of Thursday, November 27, 2008, His Divine Presence, Avatar Adi Da Samraj, departed from the body while in His Fijian hermitage, Adi Da Samrajashram on the island of Naitauba. Divine Mahasamadhi refers to the annual commemorative vigil observed at this sacred time. The term Mahasamadhi is commonly translated as the “great” (maha) “absorption” (samadhi), signifying the enlightened Being’s conscious transition from and departure beyond the physical body. “Divine Mahasamadhi” recognises Adi Da as the human Incarnation of the Divine.
